Latitude 3520 SSD upgrade. Trying to use WD BLACK SN770 NVMe

Current SSD in 3520 is part number cl1-3d256-q11 and is 256GB capacity.

Tried putting in WD BLACK SN770 NVMe and was not able to apply image using Dell Image assist. BIOS did recognize the WD BLACK.

I tried using SSD's that came out of other Dell laptops, and they didn't seem to work either.

Anyone else seeing this? Let me know what you found out.

Thanks...

Have you tried another program such as Macrium Reflect Free to image the disk?

Hello,

disable secure boot during OS install process.

As @JOcean mentioned b4, use an external case for your WD Black and clone the existing installation using Macrium reflect. Resize your partitions during the clone process as needed.
