CD/disc video dvd drive

When I open File Explorer, I do not see the CD/DVD drive or anywhere on my PC. I've tried everything, but I don't know where it is, and I'm trying to insert a DVD and eject the tray to open it. Is there a CD/DVD drive I can download? Please help.

If the tray is not opening, it can be one of two issues.

The first one being that the optical drive may not be receiving any or enough power. If your computer is a desktop, make sure that the power connector is firmly inserted in the back of the drive.

If the optical drive is making clunking noises and the light on the front illuminates when you press the eject button, but the tray fails to eject, chances are that the drive belt for the tray is worn and needs to be replaced. If that's the case, then the optical drive would need to be replaced, as it's not advised to replace the belt yourself unless you absolutely know what you're doing. If you want to use the optical drive just once, you can insert a straighten paper clip in the emergency eject hole to manually open the tray. In most cases, the tray should eject with a disc inserted, but if it doesn't, manually eject with the paper clip again, but turn off the computer completely before doing so to ensure that the disc isn't spinning. (manually ejecting while disc is potentially spinning may damage them).
