The WS-Series recognized for its clear audio quality and superb operability has been updated. The WS-852 now features the new Intelligent Auto Mode which is perfect when there is a distance between the speakers. It optimizes the recording level regardless of whether the audio source is near or far. Also, the Simple Mode has been added to the menu for easy, intuitive controls which are perfect for beginners.

• Superb stereo quality with the True Stereo Mic 
  The True Stereo Mic with two directional microphones positioned at a 90° layout, enables highest quality recording with an authentic stereo experience. By differentiating the position and the distance of the speakers in meetings and conferences the recording is highly precise, letting you feel as if you are actually in the recording scene.
• Intelligent Auto Mode automatically adjusts microphone sensitivity 
  With previous models, it was necessary to adjust the microphone sensitivity according to the recording environment, such as the number of people or the size of the meeting space. The new Intelligent Auto Mode function makes it easier for users by automatically adjusting the microphone sensitivity according to the volume of the speaker. To set this function, simply select "Auto" for the recording level from the menu.
• Simple Mode, perfect for beginners 
  The recorder supports two different types of users. The Simple Mode supports beginners by having the recorder display only the necessary information in large font. It also limits the functions in the menu to those which are frequently used. For advanced users, the Normal Mode with full functionality is recommended.
• USB direct connection without requiring a cable 
  The WS-852 can connect directly to a computer via the built-in USB connector. This makes it possible to easily save data anytime, anywhere without the need to bring along a USB cable. Furthermore, WS-852 is equipped with a protective cover to keep dust out of the connectors.
• The built-in stand prevents surface vibration 
  The built in stand placed on the back of the body is carefully designed to reduce the noise from the surface when the recorder is placed on a table. It works much like a kickstand and allows users to read the menu without having to look down at the recorder.
• Multiple Scene Select options, including "Telephone Recording" and "Duplication" 
  Simply choose from one of the seven recording scenes and this feature automatically adjusts to the optimal recording settings. Telephone Recording Mode and Duplication Mode, which can be used in combination with optional accessories, have been added to the Recording Scene Select. These features make it easier to record telephone conversations and dub cassette tapes.
• File searching is easy with the Calendar function 
  Audio files stored on the unit are automatically organized by date. Because files are displayed in a calendar format, you can quickly find the file you are looking for by searching the recording date
• Voice Filter makes playback more clearly 
  The voice filter reduces the prominent noise produced when amplifying small sounds. By eliminating the lower and higher frequency, the voice is even more enhanced.
• Long battery life you can rely on 
  By developing low power consumption circuits, battery life is significantly improved. Users can rely on the recorder for over 1,000 hours of recording time and for over 100 hours of battery life.
