There are two types of licenses:

• Community Edition license (Dell EMC UnityVSA, Dell EMC Unity Cloud Edition)
  It's absolutely free to try out the product. During initial setup, please click here to acquire a free license file. (Free license. Limited to 4TB and Community Support only).
• Professional Edition license (Dell EMC UnityVSA and Dell EMC Unity Cloud Edition).

For all Dell EMC Unity products except the Community Edition, a license must be purchased through the Dell EMC Sales team (may already be part of the sales order). Once a license is purchased, user should receive an email with License Authorization Code (LAC) number. User needs to follow the instructions on the email to activate the license (one-time). Once activated, the user can download the license file anytime. Direct link will be provided in the email. (Paid License. Not limited to 4TB, required for Dell EMC Unity Cloud Edition HA and UnityVSA HA deployment, and includes DELL EMC Professional Support)
