Paper Edition gives you the freedom to choose how you work. Work directly digital using Wacom Pro Pen 2, or start by drawing on paper with the Wacom Finetip Pen, then edit and refine your sketches digitally in your favorite software.
Paper-to-digital workflow
- Clip your favorite drawing paper on the surface of the tablet and sketch with that familiar feel. Use A5 paper (half-letter size) on the Medium model and A4 paper (letter size) on the Large model.
- As you draw on paper with the Wacom Finetip Pen, your work is captured as an editable file that can be opened in your favorite creative software.
- You don't need to be connected to a computer or the internet; the tablet will store up to 200 multi-layered or 1000 single-layered drawings.
- Connect the tablet to your computer and use Inkspace* to sync, store and export your sketches in common creative file formats.
- With your tablet connected to your computer, you can continue your work digitally using the Wacom Pro Pen 2.

What size should I get?
Choose a size that best fits your hand-movement and style. Smaller active area for small strokes and less hand movement. Larger active area for long-strokes and sweeping styles. Medium is most popular, with a larger active area and compact footprint.
Can you draw on the Intuos Pro Paper Edition without the paper attached?
Yes. The tablet itself is the same in the Regular and Paper Edition. To start directly digital, simply take the Paper Clip off, remove any paper, put down your Finetip Pen and switch to the Pro Pen 2 included with purchase.
Does the Paper Mode capture pressure? (as in, different line weights)?
Great question! Yes, pressure information is recorded in paper mode, just as it is in tablet mode. Once you import your drawings into your computer via the Inkspace app, you’ll see every minute detail.
What software does this work with?
Wacom Intuos Pro tablets can be used in any software program. Drawings created in Paper Mode can be imported to your Mac or Windows computer via the Inkspace app for further refinement in nearly any program such as the Adobe suite, or Sketchbook Pro.
Can I transform my Intuos Pro to a Paper Edition?
Only the Medium and Large size can be used with or without Paper mode. To transform a Wacom Intuos Pro Medium or Large to a Paper Edition, you would just need to buy the Paper Clip and Finetip Pen to use the tablet in Paper mode.
